Ai and Chris’s Wedding at the John Audubon Center…….Thank You

September 1st, 2010 · No Comments

We receive a very nice “thank you” note that we would like to share.

“Thank you so much for our wedding album.  We had so much fun looking at the pictures and reliving the day.  My friend who got married a year before us is still waiting for her pictures!  We really enjoyed working with you and thank you for capturing our memories.”

Tyrika and Wyatt’s Wedding at PineCrest Country Club

August 31st, 2010 · No Comments

The heatwave finally broke and Tyrika and Wyatt had a beautiful outdoor wedding ceremony on the deck at PineCrest Country Club.  Before the ceremony, makeup artist from Glamour Glow were touching up Tyrika, her bridesmaids and her mom.   After the ceremony which was officiated by Rev. Alexander Houston,  we did photos of the couple on the grounds of the golf course.  Scott from Signature DJ’s had the crowd singing songs of love to the couple.  Tyrika and Wyatt met on a construction site when Wyatt was renovating a house near where Tyrika lived.   They will be honeymooning in Aruba.

Tracey and Jay’s Wedding at The Valley Green Inn

August 30th, 2010 · No Comments

Daisy and Tinkerbell escorted Jay to Logan Circle where we did some pre-wedding photos of the three of them.  Daisy and Tinkerbell are Tracey and Jay’s Yorkies. Tracey arrived shortly after where Jay saw her for the first time in her wedding gown.    After a whirlwind photo sweep of the city, to Logan Circle, the Art Museum, a park in Powelton Village and a quick stop on West River Drive, we arrived at the Valley Green Inn in Wissahickon Park, for the wedding ceremony and reception of Tracey and Jay.

The ceremony was creek side and was performed by Rev. Bob Richardson of Calvary Presbyterian Church, with about 60 guests in attendance and enjoyed dancing to the sounds of DJ and Master of Ceremonies CJ Colletti.  Tracey and Jay met about 2 years ago at Jack Frost Mountain while there on ski trips.   They finally started dating and, well, here we are today.  They will spend 2 weeks in Ireland for their honeymoon.  Hope they got into their car……the kids shrink wrapped their jeep during the reception and did a pretty good job at it.

Justine and Chad’s Wedding at Bel Voir Mansion

August 21st, 2010 · No Comments

The bridesmaids were ready when we arrived at Justine’s home.   Sarah Gardner from New York Hair & The Skin Studio in Yardley PA, was getting Justine ready.   When asking the bridesmaids how Justine and Chad met, they all said, “They rode the school bus together.   He was an older man, a sophomore.”  Today they rode the limo together, provided by King Limousine, when they exchanged wedding vows at Our Lady of Good Council Church in Southampton, PA.   Formal photos were taken on the grounds of Bel Voir Mansion where the reception was held.  Dolbow Video captured all the action.  The Vibe Tribe kept a busy dance floor all night, with a little help from the Mummers.    Justine and Chad will honeymoon in the Riveria Maya.

Brittany’s Sweet 16

June 3rd, 2010 · No Comments

Today, Brittany’s 16th birthday celebration began with a blessing ceremony at St. William’s Church in Philadelphia, PA.    After the ceremony, Ali Baba Limousine transported Brittany and her court to Logan Circle where we did photographs in front of the fountain.   A Sweet Sixteen is deeply rooted in the Hispanic culture and represents a transition point in the life of a girl, a turning point where she begins to put aside childish thoughts and actions an starts to put on the mind and capacity of adulthood, womanhood, with all of its privileges and responsibilities.  It is a time for her family and friends to gather, embrace and support her in this important time of her life.  The celebration continued at the Teamsters Local 623 in Bridesburg, with music provided by DJ Ren and Uriel Cortez & Los Dominantes del Merengue.   Steve from All Occasion Video captured all the fun and the party continued until midnight.

Julie and Jay

May 27th, 2010 · No Comments

Well, when you write a blog, I guess it’s a good idea to have a “hook”.  Surprisingly, this one does have a hook…..a fishing hook.  The day started early in the morning at Julie’s parents house.   Team work from Dawn Shore of Mary Kay and Meg from Beauty by Meg English, kept the girls on time. Something Different in Flowers delivered perfect bouquets.  King Limousine transported everyone to the beautiful Valley Green Inn where Julie , accompanied by her father, arrived in a carriage provided by Once & 4 All Carriages and pulled by Doc, a smart white horse.   The creekside ceremony performed by Judge Deborah Lukens, had a special meaning since Julie and Jay are avid fishermen (women), and spend a lot of time fishing in Wissahickon Creek.   After the ceremony, Julie and Jay enjoyed a leisurely  carriage ride through the park and stopped for photographs at some of their favorite fishing sites.  Rittenhouse String Quartet and Ensembles did the music for the ceremony and reception.   I asked Denise, Julie’s sister, how the couple met.   She said they met at Hogan’s Bar about 8 years ago and have been together ever since.   They will travel to Belize for their honeymoon.

Kathryn and Joe

May 21st, 2010 · No Comments

Amanda, Kathryn’s sister and matron of honor, said in her speech that Joe “tricked Kathryn into going on a date.”   They met in Cincinnati while they were both working for Johnson and Johnson.   He was interested in her and kept asking her out for dinner but because they worked together, that might not have been a good idea.   They finally started dating in the spring of  ’08.   About 8 months into the relationship, Joe left J&J and went to work in Manhattan and Kathryn’s job was relocated to Ft. Washington, PA.   Almost 2 years to the day they met, they were married, on a very windy day in May.   The ceremony was at Nativity BVM Church in the Port Richmond section of Philadelphia.   Flowers, by Philadelphia Flower Company decorated the altar and the bouquets matched perfectly with the bridesmaids lavender dresses.   After the ceremony, Chuck from Secrets Limousine Service  drove the bridal party to Center City to do photos at Love Park and Logan Circle.  It was so windy, that the fountains were spraying a nice mist with each gust.   The reception was at The Top of the Tower, 50 stories above the  City of Philadelphia.  The views were spectacular and after a sunset dinner, the guests danced to music provided by John and Jim of EBE Entertainment.   Kathryn and Joe will be honeymooning in Maui.  Aloha!

Happy 100th Marie

May 17th, 2010 · No Comments

100 can mean a lot of things to a lot of people.  In hide and seek you can count to 100.  They tell you to count backwards from 100 before undergoing surgery.   There 100 pennies in a dollar.  All of which seem so insignificant because today, May 2, 2010, Marie Jethon turned 100.  She wore a dark blue dress and sparkling earrings.   Her eyes were bright and she smiled and hugged and kissed everyone.  In 1952, at the age of 42, Marie and her four children, Ozzie, Erika, Arthur and Heddy left what was then East Germany and came to the United States by way of Ellis Island.  Today, she celebrated with close family and friends along with three grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

Erin and Sean

May 10th, 2010 · No Comments

McCafferty and McCloskey, Erin and Sean. An Irish wedding…. do ya think?   When Sue drove the big limo bus (from Celebrations Limo) up to St. Dominic’s Church, Father Gallagher was waiting outside and was being serenaded by Bear O’Driscoll, the bagpiper, who is in the Greater Kensington String Band with Sean.   Erin and her eight bridesmaids made their way to the back of the church and waited for the music to begin.  3 years ago Erin and Sean met at a batting cage.   She talked to him first and it looks like she hit a home run.   And the rest….well, is now history.   P&P Caterers hosted the reception at the Southampton Room.   Scott from Signature DJ’s packed the dance floor playing all kinds of great music.  Erin and Sean will be going to Ireland for their honeymoon……where else.
