It felt like a spring day….unusual since it was a New Year’s Eve wedding. Stacy was having her hair and makeup done when we arrived at her home and her ten bridesmaids were ready and waiting to help Stacy into her gown. Her cobalt blue wedding shoes sat on the table and were the focus of conversation. Once Stacy was in her gown, we photographed her with her parents and bridesmaids.
The wedding ceremony was at Holy Innocents Church and officiated by Father Gleason. Holy Innocents church is also where Stacy’s parents, Richard and Betty Jo, were married.
After their wedding Mass, it was off to Knowlton Mansion for a reception/new year’s eve celebration. Formal photos were taken outside on the grounds and inside the historic mansion. Inside, the reception room was decorated in candlelight and a long head table was set for the bridal party of 22. During the reception, the entire bridal party ventured out into the cold night to honor the couple with sparklers. Guests enjoyed capturing fun photos in the retro photo booth. As the countdown began to midnight, everyone patiently awaited the dropping of hundreds of balloons onto the dance floor. It was a perfect way to usher in the new year for Stacy, Jeff and all of their family and friends and they will never forget their anniversary date.
Stacy and Jeff met “nine long years ago”, as expressed by Jeff. They were both working at Romano’s Caterers where Jeff was a bartender and Stacy was a server. They are planning a dream honeymoon in Italy this April.
The day came together thanks to the staff at Knowlton Mansion, Cescaphe Trolley, Wendy McLaughlin Flowers, Katie Brennan Harpist, AOV Productions (video), Synergetic Sound and Lighting and Master of Fun photo booth.

It was a beautiful fall day with spring like temperatures for Lisa and Steve’s wedding. The temperature rose to 70 degrees. Our day started at Lisa’s parent’s home in the Pennypack section of Northeast Philly. It was our second Wade family wedding. We had the pleasure of photographing Lisa’s sister Bridget’s wedding 4 years ago.
After some fun photos with Lisa and the bridesmaids and flower girls, we headed over to St. Matthew’s Church for the ceremony. We arrived at the same time as Steve and his groomsman along with Steve’ family. The ceremony was officiated by Monsignor Mc Groarty. After Mass huge stretch Excursion limo was waiting to take Steve, Lisa and the bridal party to Pen Ryn Mansion for dinner and dancing.
The grounds of Pen Ryn Mansion are beautiful and we were lucky to be there for a great sunset. Lisa and Steve met years ago growing up in the same neighborhood. They are big Phillies fans and love the Beatles. They will be honeymooning in Maui.
The wedding day came together with the help of the staff at Pen Ryn Mansion, Galaxy Limousine Service, London Florist and the Brandywine Talent Group.

It was a perfect fall day and Danielle and her nine bridesmaids were ready for a wedding. The bridesmaids were dressed in their fall color gowns when we arrived at Danielle’s parent’s home. The flowers were delivered and the colors complimented the dresses perfectly. After a few photos of Danielle, her parents and bridesmaids, it was time to head over to the church. Fury pulled into the driveway in his brown ’57 Classic Chevy station wagon to escort Danielle and her parents to the church. A stretch hummer took the bridesmaids. We met up with Vince and the guys at IHM Church in Andorra.
When Danielle and the girls arrived, they were having fun greeting guests and even organized a few chants to get everyone pumped up for the ceremony. Father Ames, a friend of the family, had a humorous homily. Danielle and Vince are both accountants and Father said he googled “accountants” to find some accountant jokes and found that there were more accountant jokes on the internet than lawyer jokes.
After the ceremony, it was off to Whitemarsh Valley Country Club for photos on the beautiful golf course and a fantastic reception. Danielle and Vince met a few years ago in Sea Isle, NJ. They actually met at a bar in Sea Isle. Danielle was there with her friends but apparently her friends took off and left her there alone. Vince was there and they started talking and the rest is history. They will enjoy a wonderful honeymoon in Hawaii.
The entire day came together nicely thanks to Whitemarsh Valley Country Club, Rose Floral Design, Ali Baba Limo, Fury (friend with the Classic Chevy), and Everything’s Coming Up Roses Video.

The fall colors were in full bloom at the Joseph Ambler Inn, a quaint Bed and Breakfast in North Wales, Pa. It is the perfect place for a wedding any time of the year but the Inn has a special feel during the fall. As we entered the bridal suite in the Thomas Wilson House, Lauren was getting ready and having her makeup applied and Francesca (Lauren’s daughter) and Kate (Tim’s daughter) were dressed and ready for pictures.
Francesca was her mom Lauren’s maid of honor and Kate was standing up for her dad Tim. The girls were really excited about the wedding and when I asked them how Lauren and Tim met, they both said at the same time…”match.com”. They proceeded to expand on the details of the “first date” and let the cat out of the bag that there was a communication snag about the exact meeting place, leaving both Lauren an Tim thinking they were both “stood up”. After a few phone calls to get the details worked out, they finally met at a place called Wildflowers. It obviously worked out for the good when Lauren and Tim finally exchanged vows today after meeting about 3 years ago.
During Francesca’s toast speech, she reflected on how Lauren and Tim finally met their soul mates and Kate expressed how every time you meet someone new, it changes you. Lauren and Tim had a beautiful day and now have a beautiful new family together. They will be honeymooning in the Bahamas.
Their picture perfect fall wedding was brought together by the Joseph Ambler Inn, Flowers by David, Me Salon & Spa and Signature DJ’s.

Way back in the 1960′s, well before Megan and Matt were born, a singer named Darlene Love, recorded the song “Today I Met The Boy I’m Gonna Marry”. Megan and Matt have known one another for most of their lives. They grew up together and both went to Holy Innocents school in Juniata. Today, on 11/11/11 they returned to Holy Innocents, to exchange wedding vows.
The day began at the Radisson Hotel in Bensalem, where Megan and her bridesmaids were getting ready. After the bridal flowers were delivered we started taking photos of Megan and her bridesmaids. We caught up to Matt and the groomsmen at the church for some fun photos before the ceremony started.
After the limo bus arrived with Megan and the bridesmaids, the wedding ceremony began in the same church where they were baptized, made their first Communion and Confirmation and now the sacrament of Holy Matrimony. After the mass, the church was the background for photos of the families and bridal party. Then it was off to the Emerald Room II for a fabulous cocktail hour and reception with music by Steve the DJ who kept the dance floor busy all night. Jack, the videographer, was a personal friend of the family and captured all the events of the day.
Megan and Matt will honeymoon in the warmth of Punta Cana.
All the efforts of Carroll’s Flowers, Secrets Limousine Service, Giorgio’s Caterers Emerald Room II made for a smooth day and fun time for all.

Lots of good things happening on 11/11/11

It was a beautiful fall day for a wedding. There were still plenty of colorful leaves on the trees even after the unexpected snowstorm the week before. Courtney was ready when we arrived at her parents home to photograph her, the bridesmaids and her parents. Then it was off to Our Lady of Calvary Church for the wedding Mass. Father John Paul mentioned in his homily that Courtney had sung for numerous wedding masses and now, she was the bride. After the mass, we headed to Nazareth Academy where Courtney went to high school. She chose to have her photos there because beautiful grounds and her love for the school.
Courtney and Michael met five years ago while both attending La Salle University. After graduation, Michael went off to law school at William and Mary and Courtney followed. We found out that their first date was actually in Michael’s living room but their “official” first date was to the movies to see the James Bond movie Casino Royale. A good time was had by all at the reception held at Brookside Manor with a very busy dance floor all night. Because Courtney is a teacher, they are postponing their honeymoon until June when they will cruise the Mediterranean.
The day came together nicely with the professional efforts of Erin Konzelam (makeup artist), DV Floral bridal (flowers), Galaxy Limousine, and East Coast Entertainment who provided the Video, DJ and a Photo Booth.

hmmm…..October, a beautiful month for a fall wedding. However, mother nature seemed to be a little confused when an unexpected snowstorm arrived. But nothing could stop Colleen and Michael’s wedding from being nothing but perfect. Despite the weather, the celebration continued with a beautiful mass at Our Lady of Calvary Church in Philadelphia. The only glitch in the day was the plans to take photos outdoors at a park. Frankford Torresdale Country Club so graciously allowed the entire bridal party to come to the country club where they had a room waiting for us with a nice roaring fire in the fireplace, which made for wonderful photos.
After photos it was over the bridge to New Jersey to Colleen’s Caterers at Savoy where a 2 hour cocktail hour with lobster tails, huge shrimp, sushi, and just about anything you could want, waited for the 250-ish guests. The weather stopped no one and guests enjoyed a 5 hour dinner and reception with breakfast served at the end of the night.
Colleen and Michael met about 3 years ago when they were both at the same bar. They noticed one another in a large group that had decided to meet there before heading to a Phillies game. After the Phillies game, they all went to another bar……that was considered their “first” date. They will enjoy honeymooning in Jamaica.
The day came together nicely thanks to Colleens Savoy Caterers, Fairytale Events (video, lighting and photo booth), Galaxy Limousine and Best of Times Disc Jockeys.
