Rain, sunshine, rain sunshine. The day started out wet but the sun shined on Laurie and Matt on their wedding day. Laurie and Matt knew of each other in high school, but it wasn’t until Laurie went off to Penn State that they got to “know” each other. Matt served 2 tours in Iraq as a marine and Laurie scheduled her classes around his phone calls. She also occupied her free time by preparing care packages of Beef Jerky and Cliff bars. Today they got married at Mary Mother of the Redeemer in North Wales PA. The ceremony was performed by Monsignor Philip Ricci. And Laurie’s sister, Lindsay, was not only a bridesmaid, but also sang the Ave Maria at the end of Mass. The reception took place at the classy Old York Road Country Club in Springhouse PA. The rain held up long enough to get a quick photo at the Edling Bridge dedicated to Laurie’s grandfather. The bridge spans over a pond that leads to the 2nd hole on the golf course. Entertainment was provided by Mike Kelleher of Synergetic Sound and Lighting. Family friend Mike Dempsey played the violin during dinner.
Laurie and Matt are honeymooning in Punta Cana.
